Our first ride we take a scenic ride from Aix les Bains around Lac du Bourget the largest natural lake in France. Climbing Col du Chat a 6km climb before descending into the beautiful town of Chanaz. Then roll alongside the spectacular blue lake back to our hotel.

Sunday 19th JULY
We head to Alp d'Huez arguably the most famous climb in cycling. Here we ride a 13km climb and take in all 21 hairpin corners to the top of Alpe d’Huez. Today we ride the climb 5 days before the Tour stage, with thousands of people already waiting on the climb for the stage, it will be a day you will never forget. And a good surprise on return to our hotel.

Monday 20th JULY
Today we take the Eastern side of Lac du Bourget up to our first Col of the day Col de la Chambotte. This 5km 10% climb takes us up to a spectacular viewing platform over looking the lake, we then take a long descent through some spectacular country roads before ascending the Cat: 1 20km climb of Mont Revard, a 1537m summit with a gradient of 5.6%. At the summit we have an incredible view down to our hotel, the lake and Mont du Chat.

Tuesday 21st JULY
​Today a scenic ride around Lac du Bourget the largest natural lake in France. Climbing Col du Chat a 7km climb before descending into French Vineyards before arriving into Chanaz for group lunch . Then over my favourite climb the Col du Sapenay a 9km climb. Then roll through little villages nestled against the roadside that opens up to lush forest roads with great hairpins and finally descend back to our hotel.

Wednesday 22nd JULY
​LIVE STAGE. However before we watch the stage we head out on a ride on the Eastern side of the beautiful Lac du Bourget and make our way to Col du Clergeon, this is the first time we have introduced this climb to our tour. This is a popular climb for the local pro rides that live in the area, who knows we may see some out on the ride. Arriving back at the hotel freshen up, have some lunch and only a 100 meter walk from our hotel to watch the Tour de France pass by live.

Thursday 23rd JULY
Heading up the eastern side of lac du Bourget then head north of the lake to the daunting 16km climb of the Grand Col du Colombier. This climb has been used in the Tour de France several times over the past few years and the 2023 stage finished on top of the mountain top. The view back down to Lac du Bourget and the vast French country side is spectacular. We then heading back along the lake to our hotel.

Friday 24th JULY
Live Stage, we head south to the famous 21 hairpin climb of Alp d'Huez with hundreds of thousands of people covering this 13km climb. The atmosphere will be off the chart.

Saturday 25th JULY
​We transfer to the picture perfect town of Annecy.
Before we depart, we will ride the reverse way around Lac du Bourget, looking back down on the sparkling blue waters of the Lac below. Then back to a mouth watering Patisserie that will remind you of a jewellery shop with its bright lights & colours, in a glass encased display that will make your mouth water.

Sunday 26th JULY
We ride out of the beautiful town of Annecy along the Eastern side of Lake Annecy direction Col de la Croix Fry a 13km Cat 1 climb. Then returning back to Lake, then onto Col de la Forclaz a 7.2km climb. Both these climbs were in the 2023 Tour de France. Annecy for group lunch.​

Monday 27th JULY
​Following the lake once again around, this time on the western side to the shallow gradients of the Col de Leschaux an11km climb then onto the steeper gradients of the 13.5km CAT 1 climb of Le Semnoz.

​Tuesday 28th JULY
All great thing must come to a end, after breakfast we say goodbye to the group, but we all will have great new memories that will last a life time. You can continue on your European tour. Drop off at the Annecy train station or private transfer can be arranged.
